Preparation: First, hydrate package contents with water prior to introducing into system (in a clean container, mix Integr8 Reef with sufficient water to achieve the desired consistency). Cap container securely and shake until particles appear to be saturated with water, 3 - 5 s. System water may be used for this purpose if the entirety of the prepared suspension is to be fed within 8 hours, otherwise use purified water and refrigerate unused portion. Discard enclosed desiccant packet when contents of container are entirely used.
Broadcast application: Dispense desired volume of suspension into a pump intake.
Target application: Dispense suspension directly upcurrent from target specimen(s) with plastic syringe or bulb pipette. If using refrigerated suspension for target application, then it is recommended to float the capped vessel in the system for 30 minutes prior to use, enabling suspension to reach system water temperature.
Frequency of application: Use as necessary to satisfy requirements of system inhabitants. Frequent application of small volumes of the suspension yields superior results to lower-frequency, higher volume application. Recommended is application once or twice daily, or set up with a doser to drip into the system over a period of hours. Begin with 1 mL of the suspension per 5 gallons net system volume daily in systems with established biological filtration. Modify volume and/or frequency of application as system inhabitants and aqueous nutrient density dictates.
Ingredient Statement: Marine zooplankton (Arthropoda); marine phytoplankton; blend of specific immunostimulants, protein biosynthesis stimulants, and biological pigment precursors. Preservative-free. This formulation does not incorporate: pH-modifying components; fillers; artificial colors; animal or plant byproducts; yeast; grains and/or other crop components, including garlic derivatives, starches, or gum; Artemia cysts; isolated hormones; water.
Analysis: Cr. Protein (min) 31.0%; Cr. Fat (min) 24.3%; Cr. Fiber (max) 21.7%; Moisture (max) 5.6%; Ash 6.0%. This formulation provides twenty-one essential amino acids; thirteen major, minor, and trace elements, including selenium (1.9 mg/kg); Omega-3 and -6 HUFAs (20.4 mg/g and 1.9 mg/g, respectively); fourteen vitamins; six carotenoid compounds (>300 mg/kg); and chlorophyll.
